Fitting the side impact into the car. Not only does it make it strong. It is also gives the inside some nice clean lines.The steel is 1.6 mm down the sides. Where the holes are at the back, they will be filled in with 3mm steel. Seatbelts will be goint through them. The size is well over that required by the ADR.
