And here is the horses out of the old front cut.

And here is the frame as of a year or so ago

One of the things you need to work out early is what engine you are going to use. I went with the 4AGE 20V. For a QLD local it is looking like a bad idea, but I am still hopeful that it will make pass the DOT's requirements for emissions. I took pics of it to make sure that I could follow work out where things when putting the bits back together. Many other engines are better choices which will meet the requirements of emissions. This is a sore point for a lot of builders and causes the most pain.

Mmmm fast cars

So around 4 years ago I set out to build one of these. As I live in Australia there is very little chance of building for close to the money mention on the front cover.

It is not a kit car, it is a ground up build of a car which uses the book as a guide. If you are interested in going down this road there are plenty of resources on the Web to help you get going.

If you are in Australia I would recommend starting here by looking at the following links:
Oz Clubbies
Locost oz - yahoo
Locost 7 - file repo

If you are still interested then invest in a book. I have the second edition which has some corrections, but it is still UK based and can only be used as a guide here in OZ. There is also a large community of these being built and many people willing to help.
